Scurry’s mice on your website

Scurry AI is an assistant: its mice (Scurry, Skitter, Zippy and Brie) search, compare and prepare purchases and bookings on behalf of a person, in the Scurry browser, which runs on our servers in the European Union. If they visit your website, it is because someone asked them to.

  • How to recognise them

Requests from the Scurry browser are signed with Web Bot Auth (HTTP Message Signatures, RFC 9421, with Ed25519 keys), the method Cloudflare uses to verify agents. Signing is switched on as soon as Cloudflare finishes verifying it.

    • Signature-Agent: "https://scurrlyai.com"
    • Key directory: https://scurrlyai.com/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory
    • Tag: web-bot-auth, over @authority and signature-agent.
    • Each signature expires after one minute and carries its own nonce.
  • What they do

They open the pages the person asks for, as that person would in their own browser: they search, compare prices, read product pages and add products to the basket. They do not crawl or roam websites on their own: they move at a person’s pace, with a few tabs at a time.

  • What they never do

    • They never pay: the final button always belongs to the person.
    • They never type passwords, cards or codes.
    • They never solve captchas or get around walls: if your website asks for a check, they hand it to the person.
    • Signing in is always done by the person.
  • What we keep from your website

We do not keep your pages. From each task, we keep anonymously and for 30 days which steps the mouse went through and which buttons it pressed and whether they worked, so the mice can learn; never what is typed into fields or the addresses of the pages.

  • Where they come from

From our servers in Germany (Hetzner), in the European Union, with Chromium and the person’s language and time zone.

  • Shall we talk?

If something is not right with your website, or you want to tell us how you prefer them to come in, write to us at [email protected] and we will look at it with you.
